Thanks to the support of the Leeds and District Traction Engine Club, we will have a display of 3 steam traction engines and associated agricultural trailers at this year's show. This will include a baler, thresher and something excitingly called a rag-o-matic, which is a mobile bench saw. Visitors to the Show will be able to see these machines in use on the day.
In addition, we’ll have a steam driven tractor which will deliver water to the larger engines throughout the day. These vintage machines, used in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, bridged the gap between horse power and the modern day tractors which are commonplace in agriculture today.
